Tyranitar, Pokédex #248, is a Rock/Dark-type Pokémon introduced in Generation II. Hailing from the Johto region, it is a pseudo-legendary Pokémon known for its immense strength and towering presence. This Pokémon evolves from Pupitar starting at level 55 and is the final form in its evolutionary line, which begins with Larvitar. Tyranitar's design is inspired by kaiju, the giant monsters of Japanese cinema, with its notable features including a hulking body, armored plating, and a fearsome, dinosaur-like appearance. The combination of its Rock and Dark typing gives it a unique set of resistances and vulnerabilities, making it a strategic choice in various game scenarios.
