The Pokémon TCG: Kalos Starter Set is a collectible card game released in November 2013 as an expansion for the previously released Pokémon Diamond & Pearl series. The set consists of a 60-card theme deck, 2 Trainer kits and 2 booster packs. The set focuses on the beginning of the journey in the Kalos region and features two of the starter Pokémon - Chespin, Fennekin and Froakie.
The theme deck focuses heavily on Fire, Water, and Grass-type Pokémon, two of which are exclusive to the set. On top of the starter Pokémon, the set also introduces a plethora of new Pokémon-EX cards - Fletchling, Pancham, Pumpkaboo, Helioptile, and Bunnelby. In addition, the set also includes a few evolution cards like Quillidn and Unfezant, as well as the evolution for each of the starters.
